9 Months

I can't believe that he is already 9 months and it freaks me out to think that in 3 months he will be a year. Where did the time go?!  Each day this kid's personality gets bigger and bigger.  He is the funniest kid. Here are some things about Kael:
Not sure how much he weighs but I know it's over 20 lbs.
He is crawling, not army crawling anymore and he is a fast crawler.  He can move so fast around the house.  He's pulling himself up on everything.  He likes to "walk" with us holding his hands and walking with him.  He also is super fast at that too.

He was taught how to climb the stairs by his daddy so before we got the baby gate that's all that he wanted to do and he was very good at it too.  Now we have a baby gate on the stairs and a few other places in our house.
He eats real food three times a day and loves it.  Maybe a little too much because when we are eating in public or at other people's houses he will scream unless you put food in his mouth and sometimes we just aren't fast enough getting it into his mouth.  He is good at feeding himself even though he hasn't gotten the pinching down yet.

He makes the funniest faces and is very chatty.  He has two teeth on the bottom and I think he is getting another one on the bottom.
He LOVES the dogs.  He will crawl in the front room and tease the dogs and will crack himself up.  He will steal Bugsey's toys and play tug of war with him and thinks Bowzer is his jungle gym.  He will climb all over Bowzer and Bowzer is good and will just lay there while sneaking in a "kiss" or two.

We love this kid so much and he keeps us busy because he is such a busy body and never stops moving.

8 Months/Family Pictures

On Tuesday Kael will be 8 months.  Everyone always say that it goes by fast but you don't realize that until you have your own kid.  I feel like tomorrow he will be going off to college and getting married.  I'm not ready for that yet.  He currently weighs 20.6 lbs and is getting hard carrying him in his car seat.  My arms just aren't that strong.  He finally has a tooth and is working on getting the other one on the bottom (not really fun for either of us).  He loves feeding himself and has gotten real good grabbing and putting the food in his mouth.  He is a roller and rolls everywhere and recently he has been getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth and then will lunge himself forward.  The last couple of days he has been army crawling and I think he will be full on crawling here pretty soon.  All he wants to do all day is roll and army crawl every where chasing the dogs or stealing their toys since it seems like he prefers those over his own non slobbered on toys.  He will also sit up and rock himself back and forth and it's the funniest thing to watch.  Lately he has been growling and making sounds like the scary girl on The Grudge.  He's constantly making the funniest facial expressions which makes me wonder where he gets that from...  He's such an entertaining little boy.  Today we got some family pictures done since we haven't gotten any since we've had Kael.  Here are some of those pics along with some other pics from this last month.

7 Months

On Sunday my little guy will be 7 months.  He weighs 19.5 lbs and not sure on the length.  He can sit up on his own now but will still fall over from time to time.  My arms are so happy because now I can stick him in the shopping cart and don't have to haul him around in the car seat (hallelujah).  He is a roller and will roll every where until he gets stuck.  He still loves his jumper and can spend hours in it if we let him.  He loves real food and has a bad habit of grabbing everything in front of him and trying to stick it in his mouth.  He says mama a lot but he has no idea he is saying it but I love it especially when he is starting to get fussy and says mama.  It melts my heart.  He's got such a bubbly personality and I love it.  He definitely makes it easy to consider having a second child (not for a while so don't get your hopes up).  He's getting good and fingering food but still has to mater sticking it in his mouth once he's picked it up.  He will have his first camping adventure next weekend and I hope he will do good.  Here are a bunch of photos.

6 Months!

I can't believe my little guy is SIX MONTHS!!  I can't believe how fast time went.  He is such an amazing happy little boy with such a personality and I can't get enough of him.  I weighed him last week to see how heavy he has gotten and he weighed 18lbs 8oz.  I'm not sure how long he is though...
Here are some things about Kael:
He finally rolled from his back to his front and now that he can roll all the way over he likes to roll all over the floor.
Now that he can roll from his back to his front he likes to sleep on his stomach which makes me really nervous.
He is sitting up so good but still struggles to balance from side to side. 
He is trying real hard to stick his feet in his mouth but his belly is so big he can't quite get it in there yet. 
He wants to be mobile so bad and gets really frustrated that he can quite move on his own yet. 
He gets mad that he can't eat the food that we are eating and went through a faze where he didn't like eating his baby food but he is slowly starting to like it again.
He loves to talk and hear himself make noises which I think is funny and cute. 
He likes to be outside or in a room full of people because he likes to observe.
He likes to play with his toys and I need to start getting him some more toys he can play with since right now he doesn't have many. 
I think he is teething cause he drools a ton and gets a little fussier than normal.  At least I hope he is teething so there is a reason for him being fussy.
He's a great kid and super entertaining.

5 Months

I forgot to blog when Kael was 5 months.  This kid has such a cute personality.  He likes to "talk" and make lots of noises and squeal and laugh. He is always smiling and rarely fussy.  We have been really blessed with this kid.  He likes to play with his feet and scratch at everything.  He's been loving his baby food and it just made him more obsessed with regular food.  When Declan and I eat he will throw a fit because he wants some too so we trick him by giving him rice cups that are used for teething and it satisfies him.  Also he will grab at anything you drink and if you are not careful that drink will end up in your lap.  He loves playing in his jumpers and loves it when we lay him on the floor to play.  He is sitting up like a champ and is almost sitting up on his own.  He's obsessed with the dogs and squeal when they come around him.  He's been sleeping through the night since about 3 months which has been nice for me.  He still had a rough night every once and a while.  He loves when we go places because he likes to watch people especially if there are kids around.  He loves woman and is already a little flirt.  He loves my sister and will watch her if she is in the same room as him.  He also loves playing with his daddy when he comes home from work.  I'm not sure how much he weighs or how big he is but all I know is he is a heavy kid.  My arms get real tried carrying this kid around but I love his chubby arms a legs.  He loves his bath but I think he will feel differently about the pool.  We stuck his feet in the kiddy pool at my parents and he cried cause the water was cold...ha ha He will learn to get used to it because we will be spending lots of time at the pool and the lake this summer.  I will post more about Kael when he is 6 months old.  Here are some photos:

Work

I've been working part time at night for a store called Gordmans since February but my old boss offered me an opportunity to come back to work at the insurance agency but I will be able to work from home with flexible hours.  I will just be writing business and not doing any of the servicing that I did before I had Kael.  This week will be the first week of quoting insurance since I left in November and I'm pretty excited about it.  If anyone would like an insurance quote let me know and I will be glad to help. 

Kael 4 Months

Kael is already 4 months (actually he is 4.5 months).  I can't believe how fast this is going!!!  At his four month appointment Kael weighed 16.2lbs (77%), height 25.5 inches (75%) and I can't remember how big his head was but it was only in the 50%.  Here are some things about Kael:
He loves to sucks on his hands and prefers that over his pacifier.
When he does suck on his pacifier he likes to put his bottom lip over the bottom of the pacifier.  It's really funny.  I will post a pic of it.
He loves to suck on his lips.  It's hard to explain but he will suck on his top lip or his bottom lip.
He loves the dogs.  Every time they are within his sight he just stares at them and tries to reach out and touch them.
He can now roll from his front to back and is really close rolling from back to front.
He likes to make spit bubbles and will stick out his tongue and spit.
HE LOVES TO JUMP!  Since we got him a jumper that's all he wants to do.  My arms get real tired...
He loves his baths and likes to play with the water. 
I've started giving him baby food since the dr said it was ok and Kael isn't quite sure if he likes it or not.  I started with giving him carrots and the first time I put some in his mouth he just sat there with his mouth open with a disgusted look on his face like what am I supposed to do with this.  It was so funny. 
He's such a happy baby and loves to laugh and smile. 
He loves to look at books.
He likes to suck on fabric.  If you have a long sleeved shirt on and get within his reach he will grab your sleeve and suck on it.  He likes to suck on his blankets or his stuffed toys. 
Most of the time he will sleep through the nights but every once and a while he will wake up in the middle of the night because he's hungry.  I can't believe how much this kid eats.
He's a supported sitter and loves to sit up.
