Baby Shower

I had my baby shower a couple of weeks ago that was thrown by my awesome sister and sisters-in-law.  The theme was mustache bash and everything turned out so cute.  I enjoyed spending time with all my friends.  Here are some pictures from the shower (I didn't know that these pictures were being taken obviously since most of them are not very flattering):

Pregnancy update:
On Friday I will be 31 weeks so 9 more to go...Wohoo!  I did my Glucose test a couple of weeks ago and everything was normal so I can continue to stuff my face with junk food (thanks goodness).  The baby still moves constantly and I swear that he is trying to find his way out of my stomach.  He likes to kick one of my lower ribs and I'm pretty sure that he's going to kick it out of place one of these days.  I still have trouble sleeping at night but my Dr just told me of the sleep aides that I can take to hopefully help me sleep a little better.  We still have lots to get before the baby gets here but slowly we are crossing things off our list.  I will take some pictures of the room and the progress.

Baby Room

We've finally finished the Baby's room after what feels like a life time or working on it (when I say we I mean Declan did most of it while I bossed him around).  It looks so good and I am very happy with how it turned out.  I will post pictures later in the post.  Here's an update on my pregnancy:  Not much has changed since the last post other then I'm pretty sure I'm much fatter now then I was in my last post.  Still no cravings or appetite.  Still can't sleep and I'm pretty sure the no sleeping has been getting worse.  I get horrible leg cramps at night which are not fun.  I'm finally feeling the baby move and he doesn't stop moving from the time I wake up to when I go to bed.  He likes to kick my ribs when I sit which makes it very uncomfortable when I have to sit at work all day.  Everyone keeps telling me I'm tiny for how far a long I am but I feel as big as a house.  I know I'm being negative but lets be honest...being pregnant sucks.  I am grateful that I can get pregnant and that I haven't been super sick or had any real serious issues but I'm not going to pretend that I love being pregnant.  If I could find another way to have kids without having to fork out millions of $'s then I totally would but until I figure out another way I will be sicking with the old fashioned way of doing it myself. That's pretty much all I have to say for now so I will post some pictures of the room.

Here is what the walls look like finished

There is still lots to get for the crib to spice it up. It's kind of boring right now

Yes, the dresser does only have knobs on one side.  I thought it only needed 6 knobs but turns out it needs 12. My bad

Pregnancy Update

I'm almost 22 weeks and feeling pregnant.  I don't have nausea anymore but my acid re-flux is still pretty bad.  Thank goodness for medicine or else I wouldn't be able to eat anything.  I don't fit into any of my normal pants (very depressing) and had to break down and buy some maternity clothes which I refer to as my fat pants.  I haven't felt the baby move yet so I'm not sure if I should be worried or grateful.  When I go to the Dr's they always comment on how active he is so it's weird that I can't feel him.  Maybe I am feeling him and I just don't know it...  I haven't had any cravings but I also haven't had much of an appetite.  I am finally am able to start walking on the treadmill again and will hopefully work myself back up to jogging.  I have felt like such a lazy bum since I haven't felt good enough to work out after work.  I don't sleep at night and I know it will just get worse.  I invested in a boppy cuddle pillow which helps but I still don't sleep that good.  I haven't been too moody or emotional (Declan may have a different opinion) which I am glad because I wouldn't be able to handle myself if I was.  I'm not sure what else to say so I will post some pictures.

19 weeks

20 weeks
Here is the baby's room.  The wood is all done but now we are prepping to paint
I forgot to mention that we got the ultrasound at the Dr's office (which was our 2nd ultrasound) when I was 19 weeks and the baby is still a healthy baby boy.  We changed the spelling of his name so now it will be Kael Declan Zollinger.  The end...for now.

And the baby is...

A couple of days ago Declan and I went to the Fetal Studio in the South Town Mall to see if they will be able to tell us what gender the baby is because they can do it as early as 14 weeks.  When we went in the baby was sitting Indian style and being stubborn so the Ultrasound Tech had me cough and move into a couple different positions to try to get the baby to uncross its legs so we could get a good picture and the baby finally did a little bit which was enough to see what the baby was.  And it's a.....BOY!  We are so excited because we both wanted a boy first.  My parent's are very excited because this is the first grandson for them.  Here are a couple of pictures from the ultrasound:

This is a profile pic of the baby

This is a picture of the baby sucking it's thumb

This is the picture showing that it's a boy
We've had one boy name and one girl name already picked out and since it's a boy his name will be Kale (yes, like the leafy green) Declan Zollinger.
I also took a couple of pictures of the bump and here they are:

These pictures taken were at 14 weeks 5 days

This is a close up version of the bump in case you couldn't see it in the last picture
We are still working on the baby's room and haven't really done much since the last pictures I posted but as soon as we get more done I will post pictures.

Anniversary/Baby

I'm going to play catch up since it's been some time since I've posted anything.  I will start with Mother's Day/Anniversary since they were on the same day.  On Saturday morning My mom, sister, both sister-in-laws and I went to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe which was a lot of fun (we need to do it more often).

After breakfast we went shopping at the mall and I got a couple of cute shirts to wear while I am in "transition" from being not pregnant to being pregnant.  (not a fun stage BTW).  Later that night Declan and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for our 6th Anniversary.  I love that place!  We didn't do much other than dinner for our Anniversary cause we are trying to save our $$ for the baby.
On Sunday it was pretty relaxing.  This is what Bowzer gave to me for Mother's Day:
Bower gave me a hug...so cute!
We had dinner that night at my Parent's with the whole fam and my big bro made some delicious BBQ chicken.  Over all it was a super fun weekend.

Now on to the baby room...
I got this idea off of Pinterest (I love that place) and I can't wait till it's finished.  This is what we did this weekend so far:

This is what I saw on Pinterest:

The room will look similar to this picture minus the crib and dresser and pictures and the color on top...I haven't decided what color to paint since I don't know the gender of the baby yet... But I am excited for the finished product!  I will post more pictures of the baby room as we get more done.

Surprise!

I have some very exciting news...

I'm pregnant!!  I was at work a couple of weeks ago and was telling the girls some problems that I was having and they were convinced that I was pregnant.  I was a little skeptical but they went and got a pregnancy test for me and I did the test and it was POSITIVE!  I was a little in shock so I hurried and told Declan.  He was super excited.  I took a couple more pregnancy tests a few days later just to make sure and sure enough they were positive too.  I wasn't sure how far along I was so I scheduled my Dr.'s appointment and when I went to that appointment they said that I was 7 weeks 6 days.  I was a little disappointed to find out that the Dr. I went to doesn't deliver at the Riverton Hospital so I had to find a new Dr.  My sis-in-law delivered at Riverton so I scheduled my 12 weeks appointment with her Dr.  I ended up telling my parents the good news after my 8 week appointment and they were both excited.  Our family has been very supportive and excited.  My sister and sis-in-law went and got me a cute blanket to say congrats.  They are so cute!  I have been feeling pretty good so far but my allergies have been horrible and if I wait to long in between eating I feel sick.  I've gained more weight already then I prefer.  I know the weight gain is inevitable but I'm trying to slow the gain down as much as possible.  I will post updates of the pregnancy as I get bigger.

Disneyland

Declan and I and his family went to Disneyland this last week and we had so much fun.  I wish the weather was a little better but we still enjoyed every minute.  We drove to California on Wednesday and listen to the Hunger Games book which made the time go by so fast.  We spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Disneyland and drove home on Sunday listening to the 2nd book of the Hunger Games.  Thursday was the warmest day and the least busiest.  We get Declan's brother Sean a Special Needs pass which means that all six of us get to go to the front of the line on every ride so we never have to wait.  Sean loves the rides and gets super excited so he makes it fun for us.  Friday was semi warm during the day but got pretty cool when the sun started to set and Saturday was rainy on and off during the day and pretty cold.  Later that night we saw the World or Color show in California Adventure which would have been awesome if it wasn't a down pour rain.  We finished the show and then planned on hurrying back to the hotel to dry off but everyone else had the same idea so it was slow moving to the exit and during the process we accidently got split up so three of us tried to stay out of the rain while trying to find the other three of our group and after about a half hour we were able to find them and hurry to the shuttle to get back to the hotel.  We left on Sunday about 2pm and ended up driving through snow shortly after St. George until we got home.  We didn't end up getting home until 1:30am on Monday morning and had to go get the dogs from my parent's.  We both had to get up early for work on Monday so we only ended up getting a few hours of sleep which made for a long work day.  Over all the trip was fun and I can't wait to go back again.  Here are some photos from the trip:
